By James Anderson - Apr 24, 2013

Only by understanding its roots, he believes, can a complete solution be found and only by realising its illusion can the Truth behind pain fully emerge. This Truth, which is behind everything, transcends all pain and suffering.

Foothills to equality

By James Anderson - Apr 24, 2012

Equality is one of the chief foundations of spiritual life, especially one turned towards earth and action. Its role in everyday living is however often understated. To begin with, it is one of the best safeguards against those emotional and other reactions that arise in us in response to the challenges of life, including states of illness, suffering and pain. However, like most spiritual and yogic terms, equality also is a much misunderstood term, the confusion ranging from inaction and inertia to indifference and even complacency. This article explores the different aspects and dimensions of this psychological (and indeed physical) condition and discusses the processes that help us achieve it.

Psychological perfection (cont.)

By James Anderson - Apr 24, 2011

It is being increasingly recognised that our thoughts and feelings, desires and impulses have an effect upon the body, — surely on our own and in all likelihood upon other bodies as well. We are like receivers and transmitters of states of consciousness, of goodwill and ill-will and thereby decrease or increase the overall health or illness in the group-life we inhabit. This insightful article explores how we can improve upon what we receive and transmit by directing our consciousness upon any unwanted harmful thoughts and emotions that stand in the way of our individual and collective evolution. Based on the principles of the Integral Yoga, these psychological processes can be practised by anyone who aspires for an integral health.
