Truth and its formulations
By Alok Pandey - Jul 15, 2010
Technology, techniques, methods and processes are only an extended application of Science and Principles and Laws. Therefore, there is a limit to technology and techniques and methods. Unless and until we discover a new science, a new principle or a new law. A technique is nothing more than one form of application of a Principle. The limits of that technique are therefore already set. One may multiply the number of techniques or perfect the existing one, yet one cannot go beyond the limits of the principle on which it works. Too much reliance on a technique without an understanding of its principle is therefore a doubletrap. Firstly it limits us, secondly and what is worse, we do not even realise its limitations. Therefore all kinds of claims, genuine and false, are born and with it arises a dogmatic assertion verging on superstition.

The riddle of life
By James Anderson - Jul 15, 2010
All forms of life are made perfect. No plant or animal ever thinks of exceeding itself. Only man. So we see such modern miracles like flying across the world in a day, across the solar system in a week or communicating around the world as if we are here and now. And even in the inner worlds, where no other life-form dares to intrude, man goes...This is one such adventure.

The reaction to stress
By Soumitra Basu - Jul 15, 2010
This means that whatever may be the source of the threat, most of us continue to physically and emotionally react to the stressors of modern life in the same way that we did as inhabitants of the wild – a habitual response which we now find difficult to unlearn. If this be true, then, obviously, in the area of stress reaction, the remarkable elevation in biological status is yet to be satisfactorily accompanied by a progressive elevation in Consciousness.

The evolutionary journey of medical science
By Unknown Author - Jul 15, 2010
Medicine, like everything else that has the stamp of human creation upon it, evolves with the evolution of mankind. But the cycles of evolution do not always move in a straight line. As historians tell us, humanity has moved through many a curve and spiral of development and retrogression. Of course, when we speak of development we do not refer merely to the technological side but to man as a whole — man in his totality, his self-regard and his relation with the world he inhabits.
