Microbes: their origin and the forces behind them

By The Mother - Jul 15, 2020

And then if there is a group of such small entities, they may clash with one another, because among themselves they do not have a very peaceful life: clashing with one another, fighting, destroying, demolishing each other. And that is the origin of microbes. They are forces of disintegration. But they continue to be alive even in their divided forms and this is the origin of germs and microbes. Therefore most microbes have behind them a bad will and that is what makes them so dangerous. And unless one knows the quality and kind of bad will and is capable of acting upon it, there is a ninety-nine per cent chance of not finding the true and complete remedy. The microbe is a very material expression of something living in a subtle physical world and that is why these very microbes... that are always around you, within you, for years together do not make you ill and then suddenly they make you fall ill.

Facing mental challenges on the spiritual path: reaching equanimity

By Denis Capdeville - Jul 15, 2020

Three main challenges are mentioned in this article: the difficulty to assess the inner progress on the path, the persistence of ancient behaviours that could have been too rapidly assessed as definitively removed and the fluctuations of the mood in peaks of exaltation and lows of depression. Furthermore, from a more esoteric perspective, the author mentions the extent to which some wrong habits or patterns could be associated with antagonist or adverse forces, which could eventually be tackled in an innovative therapeutic way. To practise the power of observation leads to equanimity which neutralises these forces by stopping to feed them.

Dissociation of consciousness — implications in psychology and yoga

By Soumitra Basu - Jul 15, 2020

Dissociation of consciousness is not only a psycho-pathological construct but has cultural and spiritual connotations too. While clinical psychology would explore multiple personalities resulting from dissociation, a consciousness perspective would reach beyond multiple self-states at the outer being to an Unitary Self deep within that transcends the ego.

Cancer: a cheap bargain

By Monica Gulati - Jul 15, 2020

Cancer, as monstrous as it might appear, can offer one something greater and different than its socially acceptable face-value. Many of us, during the process of growing up, lose touch with our inner guidance, which is the only thing that is capable of being the Driver in this life. Once lost and disconnected, we wander around with a deep hole that needs to be filled. But it never gets filled up, no matter how many relationships or jobs we might change, or how many possessions one acquires; that deep inner restlessness never goes away. Any illness, or tragedy, if it happens to reveal our true essence, is then a cheap bargain. From now, the life has just begun, as it must.
